Five friends and I ventured down to Sea Isle City to enjoy the excellent bottom fishing we hve been having on the "Capt Robbins" for the past few seasons. We were not to be disappointed, as Capt Mike put us onto quality seabass some 23 miles off Cape May. The six of us kept 130+ good seabass with just as many throwbacks. Keppers ran from 11 to 18", with the majority falling in the 12=15" range. The skipper and crew did an excellent job keeping us all (75 on board) into fish all day, and mates Jeff, Tom and Leann were always near to clear tangles and assist new fishermen with more bait and removing fish. Seabas were on a feeding frenzy and were inhaling squid, clams, mackeral, artificials and anything else put before them. This is not another exagerrated report, as some seem to be. The fishing on the Capt Robbins has been great and getting better with each passing day. All 75 people on board left with smiles and from 15 to 45 pish in their coolers. If you are looking for some prime bottom fishing, get down to Sea Isle City and give the Capt. Robbins a try, you won't regret it.
