Report:
Headed out of Ocean Springs about 11:00am and got to Cat Island by noon. Intially fished in deeper waters for tarpon that were hitting the surface, but no luck at catching one of these big guys. Started Wade fishing the sand bar along the east beach near the stumps. Caught 15 keeper trout and a small rat Red in about two hours. Went to the Southeast point of the island and the Reds were roaming the sand bars here. Caught 3 nice Reds, with one being a Bull Red.

Was disappointed that I was not able to catch more Reds. They were running in large schools of fifty or so. The water was so clear that I could see them running along the sand bars. It was a picture perfect day with the only disappointment being darkness sitting in.

Released everything! Until next time, TIGHT-LINES!
