Report:
Left out of Ocean Springs Marina about 10:00am and got to Cat Island about 11:00am. Decided to fish the stumps on the East side of the island as this area was productive in the late fall.
Tried fishing the sand bar with artificals such as spoons, jigs, topwaters, and divers, but had no luck. Started fishing with dead shrimp on the outside of the sand bar with no luck either. Then my wife convinced me to try the beach. The first cast produced a nice Red. We proceed to limit out in the next 2 hours. After all was said and done we caught between 25 -30 Reds.
All the fish were caught within 2 yards of the beach and only directly in front of the stumps.
Till next time TIGHTLINES!!!!!!
