    Report:
I booked this trip through Captain Ron's charter services in Biloxi, MS over a month in advance, hoping the cobia would still be lingering on the offshore rigs off the Mississippi coast. Met Steve a little late that morning, but after a 50 mile ride out to the rigs, didn't have to wait long for some excitement... Lost the first cobia jig to a big kingfish, as well as the first several cigar minnows. We switched to wire and caught 35, 25, and 20 lb kings. As the kings got frenzied, we had 5 hook ups in 5 minutes on big kings. Realizing that we were more interested in cobia, Steve then led us to a series of rigs where we managed to lose a few more cobia jigs to the kings. Finally hung into something that felt like it might have been a cobia, but turned out to be a 20 lb jack. All along the way we picked up several red and mangrove snapper. Although we were not able to find a cobia, Steve did a great job running all over God's creation trying. I would highly recommend him as one of the most hardworking captains I have fished with and will certainly be booking another trip in the next few months
