Report:
I went out on my buddy's boat today. We left the dock at 1pm. Started out for the 14 ft light and marked a ton of fish so we stopped and threw the anchor. We caught 12 to 18 weakfish of the short variety so we pulled anchor and continued with the plan. Our next stop was a drop from 25 to 45 feet of water 3 miles before the 16 buoy. It's not an edge but a nice gradual slope. We made several drifts there and caught flounder every drift but none in the box. Our next stop was the 16 buoy. We made several drifts in this area and we boxed the first fluke and some croakers. The croakers were alot smaller than last week but they did taste the same. Our next move was west of 14 ft lighthouse. We put 7 more flounder in the box here along with croakers, weakfish, and blues. The sun started to fade so we made the move to the abandoned lighthouse. We never really made it into the position we wanted due to the 3 footers going against the tide. Nevertheless Captain John got us 2 stripers that were just legal. We caught them on white bucktails with purple worms. We retired for the barn around 10pm. Two good days in a row for me. That's scary!!!
