Report:
Early season albacore, The albacore have started to migrate in. Indications show a early start. 6 boats on the fishing grounds, all finding fish. This years early fish seem to be about 4 to 6 pounds bigger that last years early season fish. With the fish being about 12 to 17 pound average. Many boats leave the San Diego area for albacore should produce large counts as they did the past 4 years in a row. With possible El Nino wheater, watch for Yellowfin Tuna to Show at the mid-season mark, around 15th of September. S. McDaniels/ San Diego fishing fleet
