Water Temperature: 70's Water Clarity: Good Seas: 1-2 Feet Weather: Perfect! Sunny and warm with a breeze out of the East / North East. Fishing_for: Flounder Boat: Not Really Mine captain: PacMan
Report: Fishing remains hot after not being there for four weeks. (I tried to get down on Labor day, but weather did not cooperate.) Fished on an incoming tide with consistent action on the east side of the Anchorage area (fished buoys G first, and then between E & F). When the incoming tide is running hard, fish the lower water depths (15 to 30 feet). As water slows, start fishing deeper (35 - 55 feet). Pink flounder skirts provided the best action while green was getting skunked. In addition, if no minnow was available, no bites were received on squid alone. In the shallows, we were using 2oz., but in the deeper water, we went to 4oz. weights. Bob, David, and I brought home three flounder and two mackerel. Also caught a flying fish, and had consistent action all morning up to about noon.
Good luck, and keep ALL those OTHER reports coming. I really appreciate the information (NOT).
