Report: Wanted to go after blue fin down on ocrakoke but the wind would not allow it so we decided to go to oregon inlet and rock fish as a back up plan. the wind was blowing a gale by the time we headed home at 11:30am with many large stripers in the box largest was 42 inches.Weather was so rough on the way north to the fish that we broke the frame of the windshield on a 24 ft wellcraft when we hit a wave so hard that the hull seemed to flex and the windshield did not,but I do not think any major damage was done. It sure cought our attention though.the fish were thick under diving birds and as soon as the lines went out multiple hookups were constant on stretches.only fished about a hour and a half before it got too rough for even us and we headed for the barn with 8 nice fish and about 15 released in that short time. just thought ya'll would like to know since many of my good friends sometimes read these reports and no one else seems to want to take the time to help out a fellow fisherman and let them know whats going on down south. Tight lines to all.
