Report:
fished the harbor yesterday during the daytime in some serious hot weather. nothing doing but some small snappers. did notice massive amounts of peanut bunkers and thats a good sighn but still no adult bunker and spotty fishing at best. been out of commision for a while between my 2 sons baseball and work and the reports i have received from reliable sources have been a crappy year like never seen before in this area. fluke fishing is ok. blue crabbing is spotty and stinks. and the few times i managed to get out this year really stunk. i did catch a 28lb bass in newport RI on a frozen bunker head last week and lots of good size bluefish on the bay side. huge schools of blues blitzing everywhere. they must have missed long island sound on their journey north. i am committed the next 3 months. will see how it goes. tight lines to all
