    Report:
Surf was too rough and beach trails were closed to 4x4 due to washout. Wadefished the coves and the bridge pilings at Queens sound early morning tide with my 9wt. and sinking line - (clousers, crease flies, surf candy). Small bait fish were breaking around me but got no hits, but lots of sun.Scared up a 3 foot ray that flipped right up against me...that was exciting. Set up on the rocks that evening with Bldworms & squid for croaker and got plenty, biggest one up to 17"/2lb. Caught some eels on cut mullet...(too bad no stripers in vicinity). The marina was reporting a hundred fish per boat per day up until the commercial netters came in three days ago. Rumor is Black Narrows still holds fish, get 'em while you can.
