Report: Surf fished East Goleta Beach for an hour and a half after work this evening. The conditions were beautiful. Small waves and clean water. I was throwing the 3 inch Big Hammers with 3/16 oz. Assalt Darter Heads. First fish was a nice 24 inch halibut that came from casting parallel to the beach (I was wading out in about waist deep water). After that I got four more short halibut and one fat 14 inch surfperch. The first fish was caught on the Sea Wolf color and the rest were caught on the Bay Smelt color.
