    Report:
coming out of rye harbor heading out to old scantum was a little choppy but got to scantum with no trouble. started to drift fish and caught a few cusk but wind started to build up waves. Within a half hour the sea was really churning so decided to start in a little ways to about a couple of miles in front of the isle of shoals. I put anchor in here and caught a bunch of dogfish all the time watching the sea build. Had a hard time getting my anchor to pull free as waves were starting to really crash against my boat. Decided to head for home as things started to get really bad. took well over a hour to get in and I was pretty sore from getting battered around but thankful I made it without any problems. will try again next week.
