Report:
After hearing that the first croakers had arrived in the Rappahannock, I decided to see for myself. I fished two large creeks off the main river, concentrating on shallow flats in my kayak. The incoming tide initiated the action and I boated and released over thirty nice fish from 14" - 20+" this afternoon. Several were citiation-catagory fish. All of the croakers were found in 2 - 4 feet of water and caught on 1/4 oz. jigs with "Exude" tails.
I'd have to say the croakers are definately in!
Tight Lines!
