Report:
Hadn't done any fishing in NJ since December when I went ling fishing with little success. Reserved for the 4/16 trip and kept calling and was told honestly week after week the Georges Banks were deadly slow.

So to my pleasant surpise the boat went up through the Cape Cod canal to the Stellwagon banks. I started fishing at 6:30 and had my limit before 9:00 AM - all cod between 24" and 29". By about 11 AM everybody except for a guy who stopped fishing (he stopped with 8) had his limit so the captain worked hard trying to find some haddock with little success.

The boat only had 20 fares so there was tons of room. Besides the 200 cod taken there were a few pollock and haddock as well as a big wolffish that won the pool.

It was my first time fishing on this boat and I have to say these guys did a great job. They worked hard for their fares and when a drop didn't work they quickly motored off not trying to save diesel fuel like some of the NJ captains.

Seriously, the fishing was great. Lots of double headers and if the limit were 30 fish I belive I could have filled that easily.
