Report: My fishin' buddy Tom, and I went out about 5:00 pm,.. High tide was coming in about 7:15pm. I have a small starcraft runabout 15 footer, so the waves and the wind were knocking us around a bit. We tried to fish around the third set of breakers to the south east of West Haven beach. We were able to anchor behind the protection of the rocks. For the most part fishing was very slow,... sea robins, skates, sand sharks and crabs. From time to time we would hit a small porgie. Finally when we were ready to move we caught a nice size summer flounder. But that was it. It was rough and not a good day at fishing ,..... but it still beats a good day at work anytime.
