Report: What started out to be an offshore turned inshore when my starboard sea strained pulled in a plastic bag and the engine got hot. Didn’t want to run with that oil in it, so I changed to an inshore. Trolled around Napatree Buoy, Watch Hill Light and Old Reef off Misquamicut. Got 7 big blues and only 2 keeper bass total from all 3 places. At outgoing and the rips forming off Stonington Breakwater, decided to put them down, especially after last week’s success. Tallied 7 more bass from 18 to 42 pounds. The last catch of the day was 2 bass on one niner. The bass were 30 and 42 pounds. It was a good thing that we cleared some frayed line on that rod earlier. All fish caught on niners-6 inch new England black backs. Great lure.
