Report: Went out Saturday night with a group of online friends on the charter boat Fishy Business out of Orient. We fished the Race and The Sluceway(sp?). Capt. and crew were great. We were into fish almost from the start. The evening began with a smattering of blues in the 5-8 pound range on various colored bucktails and rind (3-way swivel fishing). A little after dark I landed the first bass of the night. After that we pretty much had 1 or 2 fish going on every drift. Later we switched to eels and had all keeper size. We released the smaller keeper size in favor of holding out for bigger fish. By about 11pm we had all caught limit and called it a night. Largest basses weighed 28# on the boat's scale but I think it was more like 35#. All were fat, clean and nicely striped. My two fish went around the mid 20's (didn't weight them).
A great trip all in all!
