Report:
Evelyn and I fished today, launched at Houlihans and headed to the locks. Evelyn caught one keeper trout there, about 18 inches, then nothing no matter where we moved to. Capt Rick came by and we talked for just a few minutes before he headed out toward the sound with his client. We also left there and went down toward the Savannah River where Evelyn got into a Striper about 9 to 9.5 pounds. It was quite a battle on the 8# line, but she finally won out. Released that fish and headed toward Thunderbolt area and I caught a kindergardner trout and Evelyn caught a trout that was 20 inches. I lost a trout there about 20 feet from the boat. No more fish were caught. All fish came on DOA Shrimp. The surprise was the striper.
Tight lines to all,
Jim Clausen
