Report:
this was the first time i had my boat out since the deep freeze back in mid jan. drove down to the launch ramp to see if the water was still frozen around the docks. it wasn't, so i made plans for the next day to go out. the water had very thin sheets of ice that did not cause any problems. by 9am it had thawed completly. went over to the famous warm water discharge pipe that raises the water temp. about another 10 degrees. the stripers have begun to move into the shallows to spawn. i must have caught 20 in about 4 hours. all under 16 inches. all were released unharmed. very fun though. today was my tylenol for cabin fever which i had been suffering from for about 3 straight weeks. can't wait to go again. (i might be getting sick or have somebody's funeral to go to on monday...wink,wink).
