Report:
I had the pleasure of taking a kayak trip up some creeks with a couple good frinds of mine today. It was foggy and overcast most of the day. We were glad the rain held off. The wind picked up in the afternoon and made for a challeging paddle home.
We fished many different drops/creeks. We found most of the fish on carolina rig w/ shrimp. They were holding in deep holes or tight in the structure. It was a little slower than I would have liked. My friends said it was the most they ever caught and were psyched about the take. We ended up with 4 reds, 1 trout, 4 black drum, and an oyster toad. Nothing on artificals today. It was both of their first redfish.
There were mullet schools all over and those little stripped minnows(like a mud minnow) near the creek mouths.
On the paddle home, I spoke with a few whiting anglers and they were catching them but the bite was slow.
Water temp was around 60(guess). The clarity was about 2 '.
Its only going to get better. I'll have some pics on my site by monday. www.georgiasaltwatercharters.com
