I just bought myself a 18ft sportfishing boat. I always loved fishing in the ocean, however not having a big enough boat I always never could go on my own. My question to anyone in the area is, with my boat being 18ft and only a 40hp engine. Is that big enough to go out on the Big Blue. I want to Code and Haddock fish but am a little hesitant due to the size of my boat. Also how far out and how deep of water should I be in, also is my boat big enough for that.
