Dont come to Venice.....we caught em all! I thougth we would catch every trout in Venice this morning, but luckily number 75 came first!

I spent the last few days helping out Capt. Dan Dix with a great group of guys from Missouri. The first day I took them to catch some big trout and reds. We didnt fill the box, but we had some HAMMERS! Some fo the biggest trout they had ever seen much less caught! YEsterday i took the same guys out and we put together a nice box of eating size reds and trout. They had a blast down here getting to experience the best fishery in North America. Thanks Capt. Dan for setting me up with these guys. I dont normally take trips from other guides, but Capt. Dan is one of the exceptions!

Today I had my own group of guys down from Missouri. They'll be here for the next three days. Two with me and one with Capt. Jeff. The last two days they fished over at Big Lake. They sid the storms earlier in the week did them in and they didnt catch many fish. I told them I would change that for them!

Went to the spot I was going to start at yesterday but got side tracked. I wish I had been there yesterday! But today was good enough! Pulled up to the point and IMMEDIETLY had everybody hooked up! It was three at a time for the next hour. Absolute NON STOP!!! At 8:30 we were done, 75 trout swimming in ice water. we were catching reds mixed in but we left so the other boats that I had called over could finish there limits. We beat around never really finding a good redfish bite, but one here, one there did it for us. By 1pm I had WORE my guys out! That had enough and we hauled it in.

Absoulutly beautiful day down here. It just doenst get any better. If you havent experienced fishing in the lower delta....I'm sorry! Now get on down here and lets go fishin! I cant gaurantee you a limit, but I gaurantee a REEL SHOT at the fishing trip of lifetime.
