Report:
Had Todd Hanslick and friends out on the 36 contender on friday night and it was rough but that didnt stop us from fishing. The surface action wasn't as great as it could have been but it was hard to see the busting fish with the white caps so we spent most of the time chumming. The best action came on 60 pound leader with a 6/0 frenzy hook and chunks of blackfin. We would get on the upcurrent side of the rig and drift down the side amidst the schools of yellowfin. We could see 100s of yellowfin just milling around under the lights adn boat but they werent in a real aggressive mood. They did respond to chum fairly well and the crew cried uncle after we put our 10th yellowfin in the box. They ranged from 40-60 pounds and we caught eight on chum, one on a popper and one on a stretch 30. Looking forward to some calmer trips this week where we can throw the poppers a lot more.
