Report: Fished the 15th, 16th, and 1/2 of the 17th of May, 2005. All had great Speckled Trout action on Original Cocahoe's is a variety of colors from White, Glo, White with Red Tail and Chartreuse. Twelve of us fished and most caught our limit. The action really didn't slow much at all during the day. We fished Monkey Bayou, North Island and around Redfish Point mostly. We do this trip every year the week following Mothers Day and this was the most productive trip overall in the 15 years I have been on this trip. Most of the Specs were were 16 to 20 inches with a few 3 and 4 pounders mixed in. We also caught about 10 Redfish. Dean (the Captain) said fishing has been suprisingly good all year. We were concerned because of Ivan pounding the islands last September but our concerns were unfounded.Outstanding Trip!
