Report: with the internet saying there was going to be 2 to 4 foot seas we were not sure if we would even get to fish but as we cleared st.andrews sound I could tell they had totally blown the forecast this particular day. we were able to run nearly wide open to one of our favorite fishing holes about 7miles offshore. we were on top of real good structure in no time and I got my two sons rigged up with some medium duty rods and reels, then cut up some squid and in short order these boys were putting fish in the boat. we caught one black sea bass after another most to small but enough keepers to make it interesting. just as the boys were about to give up and call it quits the summer trout showed up and everybody got their second wind . these fish came in about 1:30 pm and the bite was crazy for about 1 hour when the dust settled we had our 18 fish limit and the average length was over 20 inchs. no lie 20 inchs. all this action made for a great day on the water and a great day with the boys they have not quit talking about the trip yet. it is true if you want to make a lasting memory with your kid take him or her fishing. this is the timberman wishing you good luck
