Report: Started the day at about 8 hitting a few of our “honey holes” off of Westerly, but to no avail. It looks like the bass haven’t quite made it this far. Usually, this weekend is the first really good weekend for bass on the reefs. Headed to Montauk and trolled through the rips on a pretty slack tide and got nothing so went off the tower for fluke to give the tide a chance to get going. Caught 14 fluke, but only 2 keepers of 19.5 and 20 inches. The rest were all about 16. Went back to the reefs and picked up 5 blues, 3-4 pounds and 3 bass of 29, 31 and 32 inches. The charter had a great time, even though there were some boring moments. Back at the dock by 4 pm.
