Report:
Left ft Mac at 4 AM and hit 3' seas in the sound. They subsided to 2's the rest of the day and the interval increased. The 26' Wolrld Cat tore it up as we rode out comfortably at 30kts and in at 35tks. One of the guys was even sleeping in the cabin on the ride home.
Passed a nice temp break 73-74 deg just east of R8. Heard some chatter about kings and mahi on it.
Rolled up to the Deli bait was sparse but weed lines were present. First line out 20lb mahi in the box. Picked up a few more. Slowed down from 10:30-12. we moved to 240'-180' h2o temp 77 deg and could have caught them all day. Left them biting at 2:30 and headed in.
Most fish caught on purple/black colored lures. We ended up with 12 in the box and many more knock downs and fish that toosed the hooks. Non-stop action. A fun day on the water for sure.
I'll have some pics on my site when my web guy gets back in town.
