    Report:
Went surf casting for the first time this weekend. Went out at sunrise on saturday(5am). I always use top water Atom plugs. Got 2 small stripers. Both about 14". Tried again Sunday morning. Got a 32" Bluefish and 2 small striper, had another blue in the surf before I lost it. At sunset was out before the thunder storms and got 3 stripers one was 24" the other 2 were 14". Tried again on Monday morning at sunrise. It was perfect weather. The tide was high, almost no wind, light fog. Got 2 more small stripers and 1 24" bluefish. Kept the bluefish for the grill. This year I switched from mono to Spiderwire. I had so many tangles with the Spiderwire that I took it off my reel after just a few minutes. Went back to mono. Am I the only one who has problems with surfcasting Spiderwire. I have been surfcasting for 25 years. Never had a problem with Stren. I was suduced by all the ads for Spiderwire so I gave it a try. Payed more than twice the cost for the Spiderwire vs. mono. Felt that I was scammed.
