Report: when we pulled out of the sound I knew it would be a beautiful day on the water. the seas were 1to2 feet and we ran the timberman wide open to one of our favorite spots about 8 miles off the bottom end of cumberland island . the bite was a little slow so we pulled anchor and ran 5 more miles out and found wonderfully clear water.the depth was 50 feet and the fishfinder was completely full of bait with sum rather large blips close to the bottom. I rigged the kids up with live bait we caught around a channel bouy and we sent them straight to the bottom. after all of 2 seconds my three kids were all hooked up and hollering for the net. when the dust settled we managed to get two of the black drums to the boat with the third breaking off. alex's weighed about 9 pounds and dylans weighed 14 and poor old ashleys got away. I think hers would have been the biggest of the day as we got a pretty good look at him.
