Report:
Caught my share of haddock.cod, cush, pollock and wolfish on a great sept. day but kind of bummed out by the gas prices and dont no how much longer I will be going out this yr.It is a expensive day now.I went thru about 35 gallons in my boat and 2 quarts of oil and about 18 gallons in my truck at 3.10 a gal and 6.50 for oil not including 14.oo dollors for clams for a total of 184.oo dollors for the day which I shared with no one as I went by myself. I wish I could find another fishing partner to share expensives with and maybe take turns with each others boat or else I am going to have to start asking others to go with me but the only problem is I like to go out early and sometimes stay kind of late at these gas prices i try to at least get my money,s worth. I dont no what the party boats are charging now but my daughter went out about a month ago on a all day boat which does not stay out as long as I do and paid 60 dol for trip and 8 dollors for the rod and gas then was well under 2 dollors so I wonder what the party boats will have to charge now and I feel for those guys as this is there living and the fuel problems are gonna kill them. What will become of us boaters as we also share the great expense of the upkeeps of our boats, and the cost of keeping them[boat and trailer on the road. It may have to end I truly hope not.Kevin Parrington
