January 22, 2006 Big grouper, gag grouper, red grouper, scamp, vermillion snapper, white snapper and nice size triggerfish. A great variety of fish on this January deep sea fishing trip. The largest grouper weighed 41 lbs. Thanks to Rick and his group for hanging tough on a bumpy day. We experienced a hot bite on the grouper, missing several. This is common on a bumpy day, making it harder to feel the bite. We also released a red snapper weighing approximately 25lbs. We hope to hook this red snapper again when Rick and his group returns for the Red Snapper World Championship Tournament.
