Report:
The first trip of the year for the Kingfisher brought out the Bindus group for some Montauk Fluke action. They had action all day with at least 30 fish under 18" as well as a limit of keepers from 18" to 25". No big doormats like we are accustomed to seeing during our May Montauk fluke trips but plenty of steady action all day. This coming weekend we will be heading back out to Montauk for a fluke/sea bass combo and a fluke/striper combo. Schools of small to medium Striped Bass have been spiratically showing up on the local reefs and I expect the bigger 30 plus pound fish to arrive in early June.
