Report:
When out for the first time this season. Was on the beach at 5am. Tide had just started to go out. Tossing my favorite 2oz Atoms top water plug. In 1 hour I landed 9 small stripers that were 12 inches long. 1 that went to 24 inches and the last one that went 33 inches. For a total of 11. Had 3 other that got off before getting them to the beach. With the top water plugs you can see when you miss a strike. I had to have missed 20+. They were still biting when I had to leave to go to work. This is the best early season performance that I have had in the 20+ years that I have been fishing this spot. Plan to come out again this weekend. I kept the 33 inch one. I fillet it and give it to my fellow employees. I hand them fillets that were still swimming aroud 2 hours before. Hows that for fresh.
