Report:
I Like to fish at sunrise and sunset with a high tide. This weekend was low tide at sunrise and sunset. I waited till 10am while it was still foggy before trying. Was using an Atom blue and white popper. In the morning I fished while dad walked the beach. I about 20 minutes had a small striper and my first Bluefish of the season.
I went back out at 7pm. I waded out on to a sand bar to fish the deeper water on the other side. Had a number of misses. Only landed 1 Bluefish about 4lbs. While I was standing in waist deep water I had a blue follow my plug right back to me. When I lifted it out of the water for the next cast he jumped completly out of the water after it. With the plug coming back to me his jump was right at me.
