Report:
Took 13 to 15 year old grandsons and their friends fishing on three different occasions in the last month. Each time we were able to catch lots of Spanish trolling and casting Clark spoons, small homemade dusters and straw riggs just south of Sand Island. Even though these are not glamor fish like snappers, groupers, ling ,etc they are great smoked, grilled, fried and broiled and they provide plenty of action. We also caught quite a few kings to 20#, some sharks, a few dolphin and some snappers. These boys start back to school today and are practicing football. Their old grandparents are heading back down to The Island today to clean up the house and just relax.
