Report: We launched at Ocean City at approximately 5:30 AM. We were headed out to the Hambone (about 35 miles out). We brought ballyhoo for trolling and butterfish for chunking. We tried chunking on the North East side of the Hambone from about 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM on a dropoff (145 - 125 ft). We didn't get any bites. We trolled West and South the rest of the afternoon. We crossed ledges on the way back in and trolled around some fish or crab pot markers at about 22 miles out (almost due east of the Ocean City inlet). We saw 12 - 18 inch fish flapping and breaking the surface. We caught 2 of our dolphin there and had a couple other knock offs. That was at about 5:30 PM. Blue and white seemed to be the colors that were getting the hits. We varied our trolling speed between 8.5 mph - 11 mph. Two of the dolphin hit at 9 - 9.5 mph. We were trolling 4 lines back about 75 - 100 yards to get them back behind the prop wash (I have a Grady with twin 200 hp Yamahas). We ended up with 4 dolphin for the day.
