Subject: Narragannsett Bay, Rhode Island

Submitted by Jared Earley (ip 158.123.178.2)

  • Fished on 10/9/2006

    Water Temperature: 65
    Water Clarity: moderate
    Seas: calm
Weather: mostly sunny air temperature reached 70 by noon
    Fishing_for: stripers and blus
    Boat: Linty Too
    captain: Jared Earley

    Report:
Followed the seagulls who were picking off the baitfish to the northern edge of Patience Island Several times the water boiled as the blues pushed the bait to the surface Under the blues were the stripers but it was difficult to get the tackle under the voracious blues. The boat landed two stripers but no keepers. Three blues were landed in the 8-9lb range. Remarkably late in the season for blues to be this far up the Bay.
