Report: Hit a couple of wrecks and one rig about 20 miles out with nothing to show but a bunch of short red snapper and one white snapper. Went to the next to last stop for the day and boated two lane snapper and 28lb cobia. Bite seemed to really be turned on so we decided to go ahead and anchor up. Then caught a 32 lb cobia and 10 black snapper ranging from 10 lbs to 5 lbs. Left the fish biting at 5 without any room left on the boat to ice fish down and with almost no bait left. What a difference a couple of miles can make. Ended the day with 80lbs of snapper, 60 lbs of cobia, and 4 nice spanish mackeral we caught at the jetties attempting to catch bait. Obviously the bait was elsewhere.
