Water Temperature: 80 Water Clarity: . Seas: . Weather: We headed about 80 miles offshore in about 3 ft. seas. Fishing_for: yellowfin & blackfin tunas, wahoo, dolphin, amberjack, red snapper & grouper Boat: Lady ann captain: Mike Thierry
Report: We headed out from beautiful Dauphin Island at daylight. We were bottom fishing for red snapper & grouper in about 2 hours. The fish bite was hot as we hauled fish after fish over the side of the 60 ft. LADY ANN. We fished several reefs and then headed farther offshore.
We started to fish for amberjack with some live pinfish and croakers and the amberjack were tearing it up. After we got a nice catch of amberjack, we went on out to big game territory. At dust the tunas turned on and we had a fight on our hands. We caught the tunas until we were all tired & we were ready to start the grill and cook some steaks. We fished all night and caught blackfin tunas. We fished our way back into Dauphin Island a tired group of fishermen. What a killer trip!
