    Report:
Bill Wilk his son came back out this year for some early fishing after his son Mile scored a 42 inch striper last season. He just wanted to get out on the water and catch a few fish. We started out at the race but nothing doing firat thing in the morning. Fish weren't set up anywhere along the race. Decided to give some early season fluke off Fishers Island a try and ended up doing well with 5 keeper (20-22 inches) fluke. There are reports of bunker around so that means big fish are following. We should start hitting them on live bunker or Hickory Shad around the first week of June all the way through November. Last season customers caught 200+ stripers over 36" with three lucky clients getting 50+ pound fish. I expect this year to be even better. This coming weekend looks like a cold front moving in but if the fish are there they are always hungry during the migration. I'll keep you posted on how the groups do.
