Report:
Went down to the beach after 2 pm. Low tide was at 3pm. I wanted to see if the sand bars had shifted over the winter. Many people at the beach being such a nice day. I waded out to the sand bar 100 ft offshore. On my first cast had a Bluefish on. It is an adventure to release a 6 pound Bluefish in waist deep water without getten biten or implaled on the treble hooks. Had 2 more on and lost before releasing another. I never fish in the middle of the day was surprised that I caught anything.

Went back at 6.30pm with my son, Brian. Stll a lot of people enjoying the beach. While my son cast from the jetty I waded out to fish. Had fish on right away. I had fun using light spinning tackle and a Atoms top water plug. Landed 3 Blues on 3 casts. My son landed only 2 I had about 8 overall. 2 of them ran close to 30 inches the rest around 24 inches. As the sun set it slowed down. One of the guys who was there earlier went and got a rod and reel. By the time he came back the bite had ended. Kept 3 for dinner.
