Report: Mystic CT Charter Fishing Report from the Kingfisher
The Bierut group from CT decided to charter the Kingfisher for some light tackle fishing and they were treated to some bonus action. The light tackle took place catching Hickory Shad and the bonus was a 46" Striper. Several other fish in the 32" to 46" inch range were also caught.
Saturday ended with a bang! In the form of lightning but the 4 hours of fishing before that was red hot for the Montgomery group. After getting bait fairly quickly we headed out to the reefs and hit fish on every drift until the downpores and lightning forced us in. Total was 7 nice fat Stripers from 34" to 44".
Sunday was unusually open so Capt. Mark brought out his son and a friend for some of the same and Christopher yet again surpassed his personal best with a 45" lunker. All fish were taken on live and chunked up fresh bait. The eastern part of the sound has alot of good fishing going on right now.
