Report:
Left Keyport harbor on slack tide at 4:30- 5pm. Worked flats for 40 min without a hit. Moved to the 9 can on the reach. West wind and slack tide set up a good drift and picked up 5 shorts and 2 keepers. Once the Tide turned we had wind against tide. Moved just inside the tip of the hook. The eddy conditions / incoming and west wind made it a power drift situation. I power drifted from 40ft to 10 ft of water . We picked up keepers every time we cam up the slope on 30 to 32 ft of water.
Took home 11 fish for 3 people.
One more thing... The fluke that were over 19" spit out small green crabs. ( at least they looked like greens...too small to be sure)
Fish took killies, sand eels and spro jigs tiped with killie(chart 3oz)
