Report: Started at 0745 today out of the Lockwood Folly Inlet. Made the right turn to get into the pogies on Holden Beach. I wish I could throw a big net like some of those guys. Had two of my daughters boyfreinds with me today (Gregg and Edward) and the goal was to get each their first King. Hooked up on several smaller Spanish in the 13 to 16 inch range and then slow trolled and drifted all day at Youpon Reef trying 30 to 40 feet of water. Hooked up with one 12# King landed by Edward after at least three good knockdowns. We released a small spiny dog tooth shark caught by Gregg and saw many others swimming around lots of jumping Spanish. Of note as well, we got one small shark and two lizard fish on 00 clark spoons trolling for spanish...never seen that before. Great day to listen to all the chatter on Channel 6 while enjoying a lot of fishing and just a little bit of catching... Ken :)
