Report:
Last night I ventured out to the Point the first time this year. I was literally the only fisherman on the actual point (at 6 in the afternoon.) It was blowing about 15 mph from the SW so things were a little uncomfortable.
At any rate I picked out an area of calm water just inside the breakers and cast into it. I figured there had to be a bit of deep water there or the white water would have kept coming across it. Within 5 minutes I was rewarded with a very aggressive hit and after a decent fight landed a 26" puppy drum. That was all the action last night but it sure beats reporting about nothing or catching skates!
