Report: The weather was so nice on Wednesday that I just had to get out and try. I went around 2pm to the north end of Raritan Bay. I had some clams and worms to tempt the first striper of the season. I stayed until 5pm and only had one touch. I was lucky enough to bring the short to the beach. I did not have a thermometer but the water still felt really cold and the fish did not fight that hard. He fell for the worm and I am planning on making him the first of many this year. Get out and enjoy the spring.
