Report:
Went for a 1/2 day deep-sea trip with Catch the Wave Charters. Target species was Mahi Mahi. Trolled w/ ballyhoo. Captain used no downriggers and once we found some decent weeds, he didn't stay around them too long. I thought that peculiar, but I wasn't about to tell him how to fish in waters I'd never fished. Caught one nice Spanish mackerel (delicious) and a couple of barracuda; no mahi mahi. I'm glad we didn't get skunked, but it sure would have been better had we hauled in a few bull dolphin. Still a great day on the water.
