Report:
Before the winds started honking this morning, the bluefish were all over Great Bay from the mouth of the Mullica to the Clam stakes. They kept hitting my trolled Clark spoons, and after losing several, we started tossing Ava 007 lures. Just about every cast produced either a hit or another bluefish coming over the gunnel. It was fun light tackle fishing. I only saw one other private boat in the area. Once the winds started honkingand the whitecaps started to build, we had to leave the fish biting for another day.
Tonight, we will have bar-b-qued bluefish fillets on the grill. There will be no leftovers...can't wait.
