Report:
Jason and I took a day off from school & work respectively for a day of post Bar-Mitzavh weekend (Jason's, not mine) fishing.
Headed straight towards Romer Shoal but after circling around some behind some working clam boats and not marking any life we continued steaming east. Finally dropped anchor on a small piece on what I think an area referred to as the Tin Can Grounds back in the day. There was some life marked but one one short striper boated. Really sticky piece as eveident on the number of rigs lost to the bottom. Didn't spend much time here as the tide had turned and we headed back towards the clammers on Romers.
Once the tide began ebbing the we had a steady bite for 4+ hours. Json took his limit and I caught 2 bass (only 1 keeper) and 2 bluefish (which weren't that big of a problem today). We each missed several bites and had several break offs.
Pool was a shade over #22. There were also a few fish in the mid teens to #17. High hook was 7 bass (only keeping his limit + his one bonus tag fish). Everyone had action but I don't think everyone caught a keeper.
