    Report:
It really didn't matter if I trolled or tossed chartreuse bucktails or Ava 007 lures, the local bluefish jumped all over them and provided light tackle action all morning. The only thing that didn't work was anchoring and chumming mackerel chunks...no bites. Most of the bluefish were between Treasure island and the Crystal Point marina. The bigger blues were adjacent to the Treasure Island sandbar while the smaller blues were near Crystal Point. I watched one or two private boats tossing large plugs for the bluefish...nothing. It looks like the new fishing pier adjacent to the new RT #70 bridge is complete. The pier looks impressive, too bad they put it in the wrong place for most anglers. Oh well...
